Located about 10 km from Hanoi capital, Dong Ngac Ancient village is one of few villages still kept the cultural features and historical architecture. In North Tu Liem District, Dong Ngac is famous for its communal house. Stepping through the village’s gate, you will walk into a completely peaceful and fresh atmosphere.

As mentioned above, the first must-visit attraction at Dong Ngac is a large-scale communal house which was built to worship three genies from 1653. Follow the paved path and feel the spirit of this village, you eventually see the smoke line on top of some house, everything will make you surprised how peaceful and quiet it is.

The village was known with the old name Ke Ve. If you want to escape from the busy and bustling life out there, just sit down, have a cup of tea with the sophisticated patterns from the old days, all the pressures will be gone.

Dong Ngac is developing like many other villages, but it has still preserved its architectural works. Time has touched the ancient houses, but the cultural value remains, so it has been selected as the place for shooting scenes of many film directors who has passion with rebuild the daily local life in the past.
