Day 1: Saigon arrival (Guide)

Arrive in Saigon. The guide and car will pick up and transfer to hotel for check-in. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 2: Saigon city tour – Cu Chi - Saigon (B/L/- & guide)

In the morning, pick up from hotel and start the trip by visiting Reunification Palace (Ex-Presidential Palace) that was built in 1962 and is well-known as an outstanding example of 1960’s architecture, Notre Dame Cathedral, Center Post Office, Ben Thanh Market – the symbol of Saigon. Learn more about China town through visiting Binh Tay market – the biggest wholesales market in Chinese town, Thien Hau temple – the worshipping place of Chinese community.

After lunch, drive to Cu Chi tunnels, then you can learn more about the mystery of Cu Chi Tunnels by watching a documentary film. You will have a chance to know, see and discover the system of tunnels deep underground; can withstand the destructive power of the bomb attack by most of the US military. The air is taken into the tunnel through the vents, which include 3 grounds: from the ground to the first floor is 3m deep, to the second floor is 6m deep and to the third floor is deeper than 12m. Tour guide will show how the tunnel works. Then visit a command center where visitors can eat meals that the Viet Cong fighters had eaten such as rice, typically steamed tapioca and hot tea. After that, discover Hoang Cam smoke-less stove, secret hide-outs, fighting bunkers, dangerous booby traps and rice paper workshop. You also have chance to try shooting a variety of Vietnam War era weapons such as the M16 rifle or AK-47, as well as a light machine gun like the M60. Drive back to hotel in Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 3: Saigon – Mekong Delta - Saigon (B/L/- & guide)

After breakfast, depart from Saigon by vehicle to Cai Lay’s local pier and visit Mekong Delta. Take a wooden boat to enjoy countryside scenery and river life while touring on the small river to your starting point of cycling trip. The ride is about 7km on shady narrow village roads curving over tiny canals and passing through fruit gardens and sleepy villages. Some stops en route to visit the traditional workshops where produce spring roll paper and roof thatching. Then, arrive at the home of a tropical fruit farmer and have a walk around his orchard. Enjoy the opportunity to taste fresh fruits. Then relax while enjoying the view from a small sampan boat as you are paddled slowly along tropical canals. Disembark and continue your ride through this Mekong village to an ancient house, enjoy a friendly interaction with these hospitable residents in their 100 years old house before tasting a hosted lunch with traditional delicacy of the Mekong land. Following, bid farewell to the family before transfer back to Saigon this late noon.

Day 4: Saigon – Da Nang (B/-/- & guide)

Morning transfer to airport for the flight to Da Nang. The guide and car will pick up and transfer to hotel Da Nang for check-in. Free to relax.

Day 5: Da Nang – Hoi An – Da Nang (B/L/- & guide)

After breakfast, pick you up at your hotel in Da Nang by bus to Hoi An City in the morning. Then, you will have your own bicycle to travel for the half day tour. Firstly, travel around the traditional Hoi An centre and be inspired by the ancient styled stores full of lanterns, which is Hoi An's symbolic image containing the cultural and spiritual value of the city. Here you will get a brief introduction about the history, its significance to Hoi An and the process of making a complete lantern. Then, it's time to make one on your own and keep them for souvenir.

Continue to cycle to Tra Que herb village, where you can experience a day living and working with the local people. Tra Que is named after the sweet scented vegetables that spiced up the everyday meals of the Faifo people. A short stroll will take you around the vegetable garden where you can join the farmers in cropping the land and fertilizing it with seaweed from the local lake or helping them nurturing the plants, watering the vegetables and many other gardening activities. After all these activities, you will take a short rest and enjoy foot bath before getting to preparing lunch with a local family.
After lunch, transfer back to hotel in Da Nang. Overnight in Da Nang

Day 6: Da Nang (B/-)

Free to relax at hotel/resort or you can catch the bus to Hoi An ancient town to visit at night.

Day 7: Da Nang – Ha Noi (B/-/- & guide)

Morning transfer to airport for the flight to Ha Noi. The guide and car will pick up and transfer to hotel Ha Noi for check-in. Free to relax.

Day 8: Hanoi City tour (B/L/- & guide)

After breakfast, pick up from hotel and transfer to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - the final resting place of Ho Chi Minh, the most iconic and popular leader of Vietnam, known to his people as ‘Uncle Ho’; his house-on-stilts which was built in the style of Vietnam's ethnic minorities, where he lived for most of his remaining days and One-Pillar Pagoda, built of wood on a single stone pillar, designed to resemble a lotus blossom, the symbol of purity, rising out of a sea of sorrow. Continue to visit Temple of Literature, which is a rare example of well-preserved traditional Vietnamese architecture. Founded in 1070 by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong, the temple is dedicated to Confucius (Khong Tu) and honours Vietnam’s finest scholars and men of literary accomplishment. It became Vietnam’s first university in 1076.

After lunch, you will visit one of the world's most popular museums - Vietnam's Museum of Ethnology, which gives an insight into Vietnam's diverse culture of the 54 ethnic groups. Enjoy a short visit to the historic Old Quarter of Hanoi with 36 streets named after the goods once sold there. Then head to Hoan Kiem Lake, an oasis of calm right in the heart of the city; nearby Ngoc Son Temple, which is reached via the red-painted, wooden The Huc Bridge. Transfer back to hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 9: Hanoi – Ninh Binh (B/L/- & guide)

After breakfast, take a nearly 2-hour drive from Hanoi to Ninh Binh and you will visit various handicraft workshops dotted throughout the countryside along the path. Have lunch at a local restaurant and then take a boat ride to explore the beautiful scenery of Hoa Lu Tam Coc, which is known as ‘Halong Bay on Land’. The stunning natural setting boasts endless rice paddies surrounded by towering limestone karst mountains. Transfer onto small rowing boats to voyage cross the canals meandering through the charming yellow and green fields. Pass through local villages and take a glimpse into the daily lives of the villagers. Also visit a workshop to see the intricate process of hand embroidery, which has been practiced by the local inhabitants for thousands of years.
After lunch, transfer to hotel for check-in. Relax on your own. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 10: Ninh Binh – Ha Long overnight cruise (B/L/D & guide)

After breakfast, enjoy scenic 4-hour drive from Ninh Binh to Ha Long Bay and experience the spectacular scenery of Ha Long bay on cruise. Enjoy welcome drink and then, receive cruise briefing, check in cabin and begin your cruise. Have lunch while cruising through beautiful islands, beach and stop at beautiful caves on Ha Long Bay. Enjoy a cooking demonstration with the Chef as he prepares traditional Vietnamese spring rolls. Dinner is served on board. Overnight on cruise.

Day 11: Ha Long – Ha Noi (B/-/- & guide)

Enjoy a Tai chi session on the sundeck in the morning, with a light breakfast of tea, coffee and pastries. Afterwards, set out to explore other caves & islands, and then head back to the ship for a full breakfast buffet. After check-out, transfer back to Hanoi. Free & relax on your own. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 12: Ha Noi Departure (B/-/- & guide)

After breakfast, free on your own until check-out. Transfer to Noi Bai Airport for the flight back home.
