Taking a biking tour from Sunny Valley – Thung Nang which has the sunshine everywhere with the tranquil atmosphere to Thung Nham – a chilling bird watching spot.

Thung Nang is small valley called “sunny valley” located in Ninh Binh province, while “Thung” in Vietnamese means a floodplain surrounded by mountains. It resembles Tam Coc with its grottoes and boat travel. Based in Hoa Lu district, Thung Nang is well known as an ultimate destination for travelers who love to discover historical relics with beautiful unspoiled landscapes. Thung Nang consists of 2 small valleys connected by a grotto system. The deeper you go inside, the lower height you have to pass if you don’t want to touch the stalactites on the ceiling. However, you won’t be disappointed when you come to another side of the valley, where you can enjoy the tranquility and admire the miraculous beauty that nature bestowed on this place.

Nearby Thung Nang is Thung Nham eco-tourism zone, also located in Hoa Lu district, surrounded by tropical forest strips on Limestone Mountains with valley and caves, another spot which you can enjoy bird-watching. Thung Nam houses more than 40 kinds of birds, some of them named in the Red List of Threatened Species of Vietnam. You should visit Thung Nham in the late afternoon, around 17:00, when the birds are foraging. The best season to travel to Thung Nham are summer and spring, when the birds are busy building nests and breeding. Some adventurers might consider discovering Buddhist Cave with more than 500 meters length without lights, but the stalactites are magical enough to appeal to nature lovers.
