Past the entrance is the first large chamber which is well lit by the natural light. Walk about 300 m further inside and visitors will be surely impressed by glimmering stalactites and the large bronze reclining Buddha. Because the cave is full of natural light, the hole above the ceiling allows abundance of dazzling rays of sunlight to come in and shine on the Buddha statue which many local Buddhists come to light incense sticks and pay their homage.

The most notable feature of the cave is its bright blue and crystal-clear lagoon at the bottom of the cave. It is quite a small pond with no more than 10m width, the lagoon is surrounded by a parking lot, vendors, and tables. The cold turquoise waters provide a chance to cool down from Laos’ hot weather and wash off the cave’s dust. Therefore, on most days, it is normally crowded with tourists practically landing on top of each other from the rope swing. It becomes even more crowded with Laos families at the weekend because this is an ideal spot for a family picnic. Visitors can also enjoy the water slide for more amusing experience.
