Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat is known as the biggest temple in the world and was inspired by Hinduism. It is located in the center of Angkor and about 240km away from Phnom Penh capital city in the North. Angkor Wat was constructed for several decades under the reign of King Suryavarman II in the early 12nd century to replicate the heaven on Earth. Even Angkor Wat is not the most beautiful temple in Cambodia but it is the best preserved which remained a significant religious and was acknowledge as one of seven World Wonders.

Angkor Wat is famous for both harmony architecture and beautiful sunrise view. The special thing about Angkor Wat is its entrance in the West like no other temples at that time. The way the light glows on the ancient stones makes sunrise and sunset to be the best time and you will never forget that wonderful moment in Angkor Wat.
