Itinerary: Tour in Hue City
Hue City, located in the central part of Viet Nam, is the ancient imperial capital of Viet Nam in the 17th century. It is one of the most romantic and attractive destinations of the country lying on the banks of the Perfume river. UNESCO acknowledged the complex of monuments of Hue as a World Cultural Heritage site in 1993.
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Hue. Enjoy your
wonderful day by taking a boat trip on the romantic Perfume River,
visit the seven-storey Thien Mu pagoda, then drive to visit the
elaborate and enchanting mausoleum of emperors Khai Dinh and Tu Duc
– the fourth emperor of the Nguyen dynasty. The King Tu Duc constructed
his tomb when he was still on the throne in 1848.
In the afternoon, after learning about Vietnamese religion and culture, you continue your journey to discover the Imperial Citadel, which covers an area of 52 km2. The construction began between 1804 and 1833 under the Nguyen dynasty, surrounded as a fortification guarded by 80 bunkers and a deep trench of 40m large, connected by a bridge in front of the ten gates.
Late afternoon will find you in the Dong Ba market, the biggest and most significant market in Hue in particular and Central Viet Nam in general. Here, you can find traditional local products who are on sale along with varieties of goods, from the conical hats, toothpicks to luxurious jewelleries. After this visit you return to your hotel.
