Visit Buon Me Thuot

Buon Me Thuot can serve as a handy base for exploring off-the-beaten-path attractions. The city itself isn't up to much but definitely well worth your visit. Unlike other more popular destinations in the region, it's a pleasant and quite busy province far from the overcrowded circus of tourism. Travelers to Buon Me Thuot are bewitched with Yok Don National Park, a few of stunning waterfalls including Dray Sap, Dray Nur, Gia Long and delightful villages of the ethnic minorities. The province is home to 44 ethnic groups, including some who have migrated here from the north. Among indigenous hill tribes, the dominant groups are the Ede, Jarai, M’nong and Lao. Most importantly, Buon Me Thuot has great coffee. Buon Me Thuot plays host to an annual Coffee Festival in March that sees gallons of the black nectar which makes you drunk and elephant races held in nearby Don Village.
